Comal ISD approves interlocal agreement to continue school resource officer coverage
The Comal ISD board voted to renew an interlocal agreement with the Comal County Sheriff's Office, continuing 16 uniformed deputies as school resource officers for the 2024-2025 school year to satisfy House Bill 3 requirements for armed campus security.

The Comal Independent School District Board of Trustees on Sept. 19 approved an interlocal agreement with the Comal County Sheriff's Office to continue providing armed deputies as school resource officers for the 2024–2025 school year. Corbee Wunderlich presented the agreement and said the district has partnered with the sheriff's office for more than 20 years.
