Springfield’s solicitor told supervisors the proposed shared hire with Bridgeton would require written agreements and a resolution and estimated about a month to draft and finalize necessary documents if both boards approve moving forward.

Springfield Township Solicitor Scott MacNair told the Board of Supervisors at the Nov. 11 work session that the proposed personnel-sharing arrangement with Bridgeton Township would require formal contracts and a resolution before a hire could proceed. MacNair advised that the parties would need to execute a written intermunicipal agreement spelling out compensation, workdays, equipment sharing and other governance items.
