Commissioner Wayne asked the Lee County Board of County Commissioners on Sept. 2 to move the Sept. 16 comprehensive‑plan transmittal hearing so he could better review the materials and meet constituents. He told colleagues he had "300 odd pages that I need to get caught up on," and said he planned to leave early that day for a medical procedure.
