Board extends job offer; Jackson Dunlap accepts custodian position
Following two executive-session recesses on Oct. 6, Smith County commissioners unanimously voted to extend an offer of employment to Jackson Dunlap; Dunlap accepted the custodial position during the meeting.

At midday the commission recessed to executive session twice to discuss non-elected personnel. After returning to open session, Commissioner Kurt Ifland moved and Commissioner Brady Peterson seconded a motion "to extend an offer of employment to Jackson Dunlap." The motion carried unanimously and Dunlap accepted the position as custodian.
