The Lexington County Council voted unanimously to accept three grants from the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services to support solid-waste management programs. Public Works recommended accepting a $240,406 tire-recycling grant, a $20,991 used-oil grant and a $15,750 solid-waste education grant; council moved to accept each award during the committee reports portion of the meeting.
