Engineer: Well 7 permit still pending with IEPA; SCADA panel installed, water-project work ongoing
CES Inc. reported that the IEPA indicated a Well 7 construction permit should have been issued in late May, but the Village is still awaiting the agency's approval letter; the firm noted SCADA panel wiring is underway and other water-infrastructure projects (Mill Road watermain alignment, CV streets, CVPD access road) remain active.

Kevin Bunge, representing CES Inc. for Adam Bunge, told the Committee that the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency had indicated via email on May 22, 2025 that the Well 7 construction permit should be issued the week of May 26, but that the Village had not yet received the agency's official approval letter as of the committee meeting. He said the firm submitted the permit application on Oct. 26, 2023 and has followed up; final operating permits will require retesting for radium and gross alpha during the final well water-quality test.
