Commission backs narrowed Milford TIF district for redevelopment
The commission recommended that a narrowed TIF district proposed by the Town of Milford — focused on parcels with active improvements — meets the county comprehensive plan; the recommendation passed with one abstention.

The planning commission reviewed a request from the Town of Milford to reestablish (retif) and narrow a now‑expiring tax increment financing (TIF) district so that only properties expected to see improvements would remain in the TIF. Trisha Gall, clerk‑treasurer and representative of the Milford Redevelopment Commission, said the proposal narrows the area so funds target properties with ongoing work and that the economic development plan from 1996 remains the framework for fund use.
