Select Board approves Eversource pole replacement on Highland Street
The Select Board approved Eversource's request to replace support pole #3030 on Highland Street and remove a push brace; Eversource said the replacement will proceed only after the property owner authorizes an easement and noted double-pole issues will be investigated.

At a public hearing the Select Board heard Eversource explain that a stub pole now supported by a push brace sits on private property and that the owner asked the brace be removed. Christine Crosby of Eversource said the company proposes to place a replacement support pole across the street in the public right-of-way, which requires an easement from the owner; she told the board Eversource will only install the new pole after the owner authorizes the easement.
