Library staff presented a proposed meeting‑space policy change at the Oct. 8 governance committee meeting that would add a fee schedule for the Hubbard Room to prioritize local use. Brandy said the library is receiving many requests from outside Middletown and proposed that Middletown nonprofits and local government use the room free of charge, Middletown residents pay $50 per hour, and for‑profit groups pay $100 per hour.
