After debate and multiple amendments, the commission rejected an initial slate, approved several targeted swaps and filled beer board vacancies (including adding Shoaf and Becker). Some amendments passed by roll-call votes while others failed.

The commission considered committee assignments at length on Sept. 1, 2026. Chairman Becker’s packet-based slate — which the chair said was compiled from preference sheets and placed commissioners on their top choices where possible — failed an early vote 16–8. Commissioners then proposed a series of targeted amendments and swaps to reach an adjusted slate.
