Task force demands underlying research, flags unresponsive FOIA requests
Members of Charlotte’s data center task force pressed staff for the underlying research that informed council presentations and said two FOIA requests went unanswered; staff said a findings report and a WRI peer-city summary are being finalized and will be shared with the task force.

Task force members demanded more documentation of the research used to brief city council on data-center siting, and several speakers said public records requests had not produced the information they needed. "We've issued 2 FOIA requests, completely and utterly nonresponsive," said a task force member (speaker 8), who asked staff to supply the consultant report used at the council presentation.
