Landfill to require on-site sorting for unsorted loads; ashes no longer accepted
The board instructed landfill staff to inspect deliveries and require vendors to sort unsorted loads on arrival; Ryan Allen said the landfill cannot accept ashes due to fire risk. A track loader from Murphy Tractor and Equipment is expected within two weeks.

Landfill manager (reported by Ryan Allen in the minutes) told the board that R & R Refuse delivered an unsorted load last week. The board decided that when an unsorted load arrives a landfill employee will inspect it and, if it remains unsorted, the vendor must sort the load on site and place items in the proper disposal piles.
