The Orange County Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 25 accepted the final report of a citizen‑led Tourist Development Tax citizens advisory task force that recommended replenishing grant programs and investing in cultural and ecotourism projects across the county. The task force advanced four “top” priorities — an ARC grant replenishment, an ecotourism grant program, a natural‑resource tourism infrastructure grant, and increased arts funding — and recommended a series of capital projects, including a children’s museum and elements of the Dr. Phillips Center master plan.
