Commission tables garbage-rate increase, asks staff to study bringing service in-house

Commissioners voted unanimously to table a proposed garbage-rate increase and directed staff to analyze costs of returning garbage services to county management; staff also reported outreach to delinquent commercial accounts.

At the May 6 regular meeting Commissioner Jason Frost moved to table a proposed garbage-rate increase "until we do further research on the cost to see how much it would be to bring garbage back in house," and Commissioner Damon Hoyte seconded. The vote was unanimous.
