The commission voted Jan. 7 to replace two rooftop HVAC units on the McNaughton Street county building using SPLOST funds. Archie's provided the low bid at $26,670.00 per unit for a 15‑ton unit; a competing quote from Fire & Ice was $27,500.00 per unit. The minutes note one unit serves the DFACS office and one serves the Board of Commissioners office.
