Commissioners approved proclamations declaring Line Worker Appreciation Day (April 18), Mitchell County Firefighter Appreciation Day (May 3), Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (April 13–19), and Child Abuse Awareness Month (April). The board also publicly thanked a volunteer distribution manager for storm relief work.
