Board denies setback variance for partially built structure on Fairfax Street

The board denied a variance request to reduce side and rear setbacks for an accessory building under construction on Fairfax Street (Tax Map 078 F Parcel 063). Staff and the planning commission recommended denial after learning the structure had been started without permits and sat as close as 3–5 feet to property lines; neighbors had voiced opposition during the planning process.
