Finance Director Michelle Weidner reviewed a proposed Additional Budget Authorization Policy at the Sept. 1 meeting. The draft would allow departments to request approval to spend: (1) carryover of unspent funds from the prior audited fiscal year; (2) emergent expenses not previously anticipated; and (3) non-bonded capital requests. The policy would not guarantee approval; each request would require board approval.
