The Village of Gilberts Plan Commission recommended approval April 8 of a preliminary and final planned unit development and subdivision for the BeSpoke Motor Union car-condo project on roughly 19 acres at the corner of Tyrell & Columbia. The proposed site plan includes 10 car-condo buildings totaling 156 individual units, two commercial strip malls of about 40,000 square feet combined, a clubhouse, parking and landscaping. The commission voted 5–0 to forward the recommendation to the Village Board.
