Committee members moved to accept a Post Office offer to reimburse county costs and pay roughly one year’s lease to be released from a protracted development dispute. Highway staff said the Post Office consultant recently claimed the site needs an expensive retaining wall; county staff reported significant prior work (septic, site prep) and sought reimbursement before ending negotiations.
