River Ridge board declines replacing stop signs after AV‑Tech lighting tests fail

Operations Manager Shane Willis told the Board that AV‑Tech’s experiment to control the brightness of stop sign lighting was unsuccessful and the vendor was unwilling to modify the signs. Willis presented two options: leave the existing signs and manage lighting as needed, or purchase signs with a timer. Willis also reported the total cost for four stop signs at $9,280, or $2,320 per sign, as reflected in the unaudited financial statements. The Board chose not to expend funds and the item will be removed from future agendas.
