To comply with new Public Service Commission rules assigning hydrant maintenance responsibility to municipalities, council approved hydrant flow-testing, marking, and inspection procedures and noted BowSel Inc. will begin testing on May 29, 2025.

Council approved three related items to align with new Public Service Commission requirements: a hydrant flow-testing procedure, a hydrant marking code, and a hydrant inspection procedure. The approvals were unanimous on a motion by Councilor Charlene Louk, seconded by Councilor Karen Phillips.
