Commission awards $2.2 million contract for courthouse attic remediation using SPLOST funds
The board approved R-064-26 to award a $2,200,000 contract to FH Passion for courthouse attic remediation and roof repairs, funded from the 2020 SPLOST; staff said the work required rebidding after discovery of additional issues and that inspections and permits will be managed by county project staff.

The Walker County Board of Commissioners voted to award a $2,200,000 contract to FH Passion to remediate the courthouse attic and repair the courthouse roof, using funds set aside in the 2020 SPLOST. County officials said this was the second round of bidding after additional building issues were identified.
