Assemblymember Pacheco presented AB 23 61 to clarify and limit the vicarious liability of peer‑to‑peer vehicle sharing platforms (PVSPs) while preserving consumers’ ability to recover damages from at‑fault vehicle owners. The bill establishes per‑incident liability caps for PVSPs acting on behalf of an at‑fault owner and clarifies that total damages recoverable from the at‑fault party are not reduced.
