The Conklin Planning Board on March 17 reviewed a proposal to rezone 70 Schofield Road (Tax Map #194.03-1-44) from R‑15 to Agricultural‑Rural so a purchaser could establish a cemetery. The application, filed February 13, 2025, prompted comment from Broome County staff and the Broome County Health Department, which raised environmental and community‑character concerns.
