Commission approves 18% duplex variance for Michael Street duplexes

Building Official Javier Pena told the commission that Planning and Zoning Case No. 339 concerns duplexes on Michael Street and that the property owner (identified in the record as Mr. Borunda) requested an 18% variance to allow three-bedroom, single-car garage duplexes. Commissioner Mike Barr moved to approve the variance, Mayor Pro Tem Pat L. Sims seconded, and the commission approved the 18% variance by a 4–1 vote.
