County EMA reports heavy localized rainfall, foundation collapses and road closures

Lycoming County Emergency Management reported heavy storms that produced up to about seven inches of rainfall in some areas, resulting in foundation collapses, basement flooding, landslides and roadway inaccessibility; field assessments and 211 reporting were urged.

Marshall, speaking for county emergency management, provided a situational update after overnight storms that produced heavy rainfall in parts of the county. He said teams are conducting field assessments and that "we had areas that received between Clinton and our area nearly 7 inches of rainfall in certain consolidated areas," leading to foundation collapses, basement flooding, landslides and localized roadway closures around Waterville (Route 44 and Route 973).
