The Board of Supervisors of Lower Paxton Township formally recognized the Newside Cemetery restoration in a proclamation read Sept. 3, 2026. Supervisor John Campbell read the proclamation, which states the site contains 48 burials dated between 1742 and 1854 and identifies 23 early American veterans among those interred.
