The City of Florence on Sept. 2 authorized the city engineer to begin the design phase for the Hwy. 49 sewer project. The motion to "authorize and direct City Engineer Tim Parker to begin the design phase for the Hwy. 49 Sewer project" was made by Alderman John Banks, seconded by Alderman Brent Sistrunk, and carried unanimously.
