The committee approved a motion to declare miscellaneous books and older instructional devices surplus and directed the superintendent or director of finance and operations to auction off, donate, recycle or otherwise dispose of the items "in conjunction with provisions for mass general law," according to the motion language read at the meeting. Committee members discussed that the surplus included DVDs and older student edition books and approved the motion by roll call.
