District presenters (listed in the meeting packet as Armando Ruiz and Tanya Cinco) presented the district’s current assessment data and school-level strategies for improving student achievement. The presenters said ELA proficiency rose about 1 percentage point districtwide to roughly 41% proficient, math improved about 3 percentage points districtwide, and some science measures showed an 8% improvement in tested grades.
