Committee advances covenant templates that allow deadline extensions for conversion projects
The committee agreed to move forward with covenant templates that permit extending completion deadlines if applicants secure a one-year extension of conditional approval from the Planning Board or a one-year building-permit extension from the Building Department.

Andrea Novotney reviewed draft covenant templates for conversion projects and CRIZ projects and explained an extension mechanism the Committee favored. The chosen template allows an applicant to extend the completion deadline when the applicant has been granted a one-year extension of the conditional approval from the Planning Board or a one-year extension of the building permit from the Building Department.
