Page County approves Yorktown Bridge title sheet; project estimated at $1.4 million
The board approved signing the title sheet to advance the Yorktown Bridge project (remove two bridges, build one 150-foot bridge and a 2,000-foot bypass) with an estimated cost of about $1,400,000 for bridge and bypass work.

County Engineer JD King described the Yorktown Bridge project as a plan to remove two bridges south of Yorktown and replace them with a single 150-foot structure plus a 2,000-foot bypass road to avoid a higher-cost option. King said the project is on the county's five-year plan for the current year and that planning materials must be submitted by Sept. 15 to permit a December letting.
