Punta Gorda resident cites health issues while magistrate affirms code violation and outlines abatement process

Karen Martin, who identified herself as the owner of 1120 Martha Place in Englewood, told the magistrate she has been ill and working to clean the property. Martin said she had been in the emergency room in April and that doctors had discovered cardiac issues; quoting her own testimony, she said, "I'm having tachycardia of 200 beats per minute, twice a day." She said she has been doing cleanup work and offered updated photos to the court.
