The board entered executive session at 7:05 p.m. to discuss a personnel matter in the Public Works Department and approved two hires on the recommendation of Water/Sewer Operator Billy Russell. Alderman Brent Sistrunk moved (seconded by Alderman Kyle Martin) to hire Eathan Peden as a maintenance worker at $18.00 per hour starting Dec. 17, 2025, pending successful background and drug/alcohol testing and subject to a 90‑day probation period; the motion carried with aldermen voting aye.
