County staff told commissioners how backup handling would work during surges: five positions will run locally and in overflow the system will route calls to a backup center in Coffee County, which will then notify the county dispatch center. Agency official described the failover as automatic: calls "are going to jump to our backup account, which is actually Coffee County."
