Wayne County auditor presents FY26 CASH Annual Financial Report; key fund balances exceed 50% threshold

Auditor Michelle Dooley presented the Wayne County FY26 CASH Annual Financial Report at the Aug. 18 meeting and provided a recap of the county’s three major funds. Ending balances as of June 30, 2026 were reported as: General Basic $2,674,827; General Supplemental $1,484,916; Rural Basic $492,911. Dooley told the board that the General Basic and General Supplemental balances exceed 50% of the FY27 expenditure budgets.
