Sep 1, 2026

The full story

Brixmor Property Group representatives and city staff presented a preliminary site plan for the Venetian Isle Shopping Center at 3722–3772 N. Federal Highway, describing a phased redevelopment anchored by a new Publix. Consulting city planner Dave Dixon told the board the item was a preliminary review and that "this item is a preliminary site plan, so that means there's no action taken or recommendations made." The applicant said the existing roughly 45,000-square-foot store will remain open until a new, approximately 56,500-square-foot Publix is ready.
