Staff says one economic grantee underspent amid program changes; two others spent full allocations
Staff reported that CocoaPix substantially underspent its award because of program changes and timing, while Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center and Opportunity Junction spent their full allocations.

In the economic development category, staff reported uneven spending across grantees. Ashani told the subcommittee that CocoaPix was budgeted for a larger award but spent only $12,526 and left a balance (about $5,088) because “they had a lot of changes during the fiscal year” and program guidelines limit how funds can be spent.
