The committee approved applications for East-West Gateway CMAQ and STP FY29 funds for a Madison Avenue roundabout and Phase 1 resurfacing/shared-use path and approved engineering agreements for the Route 66 and Governors Parkway shared-use paths totaling $338,735 in preliminary design fees.

The Edwardsville Public Services Committee on Jan. 14, 2026 approved resolutions to apply for Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funds and Surface Transportation Program (STP) FY29 funds from East-West Gateway. The CMAQ application is for a roundabout at Madison Avenue and Governors Parkway; the STP application is for Phase 1 of the Madison Avenue resurfacing and a shared-use path. Alderman Jennifer Warren moved both resolutions; Aldermen Adam Hanna and SJ Morrison provided seconds as noted in the minutes; both motions passed unanimously.
