Senate passes multiple local charter amendments and town authorizations

The Senate passed several local measures — including charter amendments for Hudson and Bridgewater (gender-neutral language), an authorization for Plymouth to establish a land-acquisition revenue account, and an authorization for Falmouth to offset costs for low-pressure sewer pumps — by voice vote and ordered them to be enacted.

The Senate took up a set of local legislative items and passed them to be enacted. Items included an act amending the charter of the town of Hudson (House No. 4782), an act authorizing the town of Plymouth to establish a special revenue account for land acquisition (House No. 4887), and an act authorizing the town of Falmouth to expend funds related to the installation of low-pressure sewer pumps on private property (House No. 5109). The Clerk read each title and the chamber approved them by voice vote.
