Granite County to implement semi‑monthly payroll option beginning Jan. 1, 2027

Payroll Clerk Becky Mickey told Commissioners the Black Mountain payroll system can accommodate both monthly and semi‑monthly pay cycles. The Board agreed that current employees could remain on monthly pay or elect semi‑monthly, while new hires would be placed on semi‑monthly pay going forward. The Commission set implementation for Jan. 1, 2027, with semi‑monthly pay periods ending on the 15th and the last day of each month and paydays on the 20th and the 5th.
