Eddie Goodja, chairman of the Mitchell County Democratic Party, presented a hard copy of a resolution supporting Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine and asked the board to include the resolution in the official record. "The Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine is a medical lifeline to the people living here as well as being an economic engine and catalyst for this region," Goodja said, and he offered to provide an electronic version to the clerk.
