Council hears LHTAC delay for TAP project; schedules possible May workshop

Mayor Wanda Irish told the council she spoke with Jesse at HMH about the city's TAP application and relayed that "LHTAC will not let us start the project until 2027"; she said she would like to remove the item from the active agenda given the delay. Councilmember Charlie Shutt said he had contacted LHTAC and that a representative is scheduled to visit the area in May, which could allow the city to arrange a workshop or local briefing before deciding next steps.
