County Executive Wade Creswell provided an update on multiple nuclear-industry projects in Roane County during the Nov. 10 meeting. He reported that Triso-X had "completed almost all of its excavation on the 150 acre site in the Horizon Center" and had begun preparations for construction of a facility to produce advanced nuclear fuel. Creswell also said BWXT had broken ground on a 60,000-square-foot facility for uranium enrichment components, with construction expected to be completed next month and hiring to begin in January.
