Community development intern showcases maps and downtown plan
Intern Emily Barna presented a 3‑D land-value map, a list of unimproved parcels, and a draft five‑year downtown strategic plan that includes a job description for a downtown manager and work toward Main Street affiliation.

Emily Barna, a senior at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania (Bloomsburg), told council she spent the summer working with community and economic development on mapping and planning. She said staff and colleagues "made a 3 d map showing the land value per acre of the entire city by zoning" and worked with the downtown Williamsport Alliance on a draft five‑year strategic plan intended to pursue Main Street affiliation with the Department of Community and Economic Development.
