District plans PA upgrade, reviews cybersecurity, and begins AI policy work

Chris Shaw, the district's Technology Director, reported that an RFP for the high-school bell and public-address system is open and that bids are expected by the end of the month; he said Justice Department funding may help offset upgrade costs. He also told the Board that recent cybersecurity testing identified process changes that could improve district security and that the E-Rate Category 1 dark-fiber RFP has a vendor selected and is under legal review.
