The Boca Raton Planning and Zoning Board on Sept. 3 approved two consolidated variances permitting a shared 196.2-foot finger pier serving 910 and 911 Northeast 24th Street, along with reduced side setbacks and a zero-foot side setback for connecting docks. The board voted 7–0 on both applications after a staff presentation and a petitioner overview. "Staff recommends approval of the variance based on the following analysis," zoning manager Tory Boone told the board, citing environmental considerations and prior approvals by state agencies.
