Cornelius hires Jacobs for water system risk analysis; AWIA deadlines noted

The city approved a work order with Jacobs Engineering Group to complete the risk and resilience analysis required by the America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018. City Engineer Terry Keyes told council that the analysis is due June 30, 2026 and the emergency response plan is due Dec. 31, 2026; Keyes said Jacobs will perform the risk and resilience analysis first and staff will include the emergency response plan in the next fiscal year's budget.
