Commission approves Wright's Gymnastics development plan and driveway waiver
The commission approved DPR 26‑04 for an approximately 22,000 sq. ft. commercial flex building for Wright's Gymnastics and granted a waiver to allow a full‑access driveway about 80 feet from the intersection with Dover Street, citing alignment with an existing drive to the south and public‑works support.

Planning staff presented DPR 26‑04 and a related waiver request to permit a full‑access driveway on Kingston Street roughly 80 feet from the Dover Street intersection, where the ordinance separation standard is 150 feet. Staff said the waiver meets the four findings because the driveway aligns with an existing drive across Kingston Street and consolidates access points, which staff and the Department of Public Works view as a safer alternative. "So for those reasons, we do believe that all 4 of those are met, and so we recommend approval of this waiver," the planning presenter said.
